The pendulum is an ideal complement to the Control'X / Z system.

It allows students to conduct motivating experiments on an anti-oscillation (anti-ballant) solution for a construction crane or an inverted pendulum.


It consists of a very precise angular position sensor (incremental encoder of 2048 points per revolution), a graduated machined aluminum axis and a mass.

The mass can be moved on the graduated axis in order to modify the natural pulsation of the pendulum.


The realization of the control and the setting in movement of the anti-ballant or inverted pendulum systems can be simulated and then implemented directly with the Matlab software from MathWorks or Labview from National Instrument.


The whole system is delivered assembled, wired and ready to be positioned on the mobile carriage of the Control'X / Z system.

 

The software associated with this complement allows to approach projects on: fuzzy controllers, collaborative robots, distance control, traction machines, snowshoe stringing machine, ... and many others!
